Set In Stone Photography has been printing images for customers across Australia & abroad for over 5 years now & during that time we have built a great relationship with local printers to bring you fine quality pieces of artwork to enhance any space.
All our prints are made locally right here on the Gold Coast & every print is checked for quality assurance before leaving the factory. Our printers pride themselves in providing the highest standard with quality materials & experienced workmanship to give you artwork that will last a lifetime. With modern state of the art computerised mat cutting & frame cutting & joining equipment, we can produce quality finishes every time. Quality is paramount, & that’s why our prints come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee*! If you are not satisfied with the quality of your print, get in touch with us & you can return the print for a full refund, including return shipping costs.

Sizing
Choosing the right print size is a crucial part of the process. You want to make sure the artwork correctly fits the space you have allocated for it & understand how different types of prints are sized. Printing
It all starts with the print itself! We use experts in quality printing & colour reproduction with top-of-the-line custom profiled printing solutions combined with the best quality inks & papers giving the highest standard of colour output & result.
Our printing partners use large format Epson printers which feature an all new PrecisionCore MicroTFP print head with Variable Sized Droplet Technology™ for output with superior resolution, gradations and colour density. Using an all-pigment formulation, it produces prints that dry quickly to become water and scratch resistant with a high Dmax. Colour is stable in just 30 minutes and can remain lightfast for approx 60 years.
The printer uses Epson UltraChrome® Pro all-pigment aqueous (water based) ink for quality colour and premium B&W output that is consistent, predictable and durable. Designed for professional and commercial print production, the formulation provides an extended gamut with superior colour accuracy and archival level image stability. The ink set includes Vivid Magenta for brighter blues and pinks as well as Light and Dark Grey for improved balance with neutral greys, reduced bronzing and minimal colourcasts/colour twist.
The Pro formulation features improved Matte and Photo Black inks that provide an enhanced Dmax for brighter prints with an enhanced tonal range in both B/W and colour. It also features a new Yellow ink that provides further durability enhancement with increased UV light resistance.
Framed Prints
Paper
Our gloss paper of choice is a metallic pearl paper. A 260gsm premium media with a unique pearlescent surface finish, designed for use with an inkjet printer. The finish is similar to traditional silver-halide metallic photo papers and offers exceptional image clarity and brilliant colour reproduction with a cool, high-gloss metallic finish with a hint of silver blue iridescence.
Framed Prints
With ever evolving trends & styles in mind, we offer a modest range of clean and simple frames that complement the photograph and give them presence on the wall; each have a timeless appeal & have been chosen for their suitability to almost any photograph they are paired with. Our three frame options are Classic Black, Traditional White and Raw Oak.
All framed artwork is mounted on acid free foam core and mounted with a white mat board which comes standard. The print is then professionally tape sealed to ensure no dust or dirt may enter the frame & fitted with a plastic coated hanging wire.
For our framed prints of 150cm or larger, please note that no mat board is fitted due to the size of the photograph. The image is instead printed with a white border to replicate the mat board as mat boards are unavailable in those larger sizes.
All frames have a 2cm wide face and are 3cm deep. Frames larger than 100cm on their longest edge are 4cm deep.
All our framed prints are made to order with our custom cut timber frames & come standard with premium clear glass. If you wish to upgrade the glazing to severely reduce glare & reflections, please get in touch for a custom quote.
Canvas Prints
Canvas Prints
Canvas prints are a fantastic & economically friendly way to brighten up any home or workspace. Canvas prints have stood the test of time in style & aesthetics & at a fraction of the price when compared with framed prints. The 400gsm poly-cotton blend canvas has a fine weave & it features a bright white matte coating making it perfect for photographic & artwork reproductions. Combined with Epson archival Ultrachome inks provides a sharp, detailed image print result, not to mention our canvas prints are museum quality with a guaranteed lifetime of 100+ years.
We coat each canvas print prior to stretching with a clear liquid laminate that protects against UV fading & dust build up. The canvases are then expertly hand stretched & stapled on custom cut Australian pine stretcher bars & finished with brown paper tape for added protection. A plastic-coated hanging wire is fitted ensuring that the print is ready to hang when it arrives at your door.
You can also upgrade any canvas print to a float framed canvas which encapsulates the stretched canvas print in a timber frame (same frames as our framed prints range) with a shadow-line border which looks exceptional! Please get in touch if you would like a quote for a float framed canvas print.

Unframed Prints
Unframed prints are a great choice if you’re looking at sending them overseas as gifts or perhaps having them custom framed yourself locally. Unframed metallic prints come with a white boarder which allows for easy framing and are shipped rolled, in a canister for delivery. All our unframed prints are printed on metallic pearl paper.

The products, styles & colours available to purchase directly through our website are just a small portion of the range that is available to us from our print partners. There is a multitude of different ways to frame or print a photograph & whilst we cannot have all these options readily available on our site, we can custom frame any image to your liking. I’d be more than happy to chat through any special requests or ideas that you may have, or offer some of my own to suit your space.

Glazing Upgrades
Our framed prints come with standard glass but if you are looking to really enhance the look of a print on your wall, upgrading the glazing is the perfect way to make that photograph pop! Upgrading to premium glass options helps reduce/eliminate glare & reflections ensuring that the image clarity no matter its position in the home or workplace.
Black Mat Board
If a white mat board is just not your thing, feel free to contact us about putting a black mat board on your framed print instead.
Float Frame Canvas Prints
Framed canvases are a personal favourite. With a unique shadow line border & floating aesthetic inside the frame, elevate the look of your canvas & help bring in the tones & aesthetic of your home décor by matching it with a float frame canvas print.
HD Luxe Metal Prints
Yet another offering by our printers but one that we don’t have room to list on our digital print gallery. HD Luxe Metal Prints are a reasonably new print trend taking walls by storm. The thin elegant metal surface transforms any image into a glistening, shiny piece of art that enhances & elevates almost any image.Through dye sublimation, images & artworks are heat infused directly into a specially coated panel & are a perfect medium for displaying artwork and photography in a variety of applications from residential to commercial usage. Our HD Metal prints are lightweight, durable, made with recycled material and 100% recyclable. Fade, moisture, chemical and scratch resistant to make artwork last a lifetime.
Acrylic Facemount Prints
Much like the above, acrylic facemount prints are another premium product available from our printing partners that are available by special request. Each custom made acrylic facemount starts with a high-resolution metallic paper print using archival inks which enhances colour & detail output. The print is then expertly face mounted to a high grade 4.5mm polished acrylic panel using transparent opticlear film. We then adhere a dibond aluminium composite panel to the back so the print is safely concealed in between.Acrylic facemounts come with an inset wooden frame on the back which achieves a floating look once on the wall. Hanging options range from wire, 3M picture strips & for larger prints a split baton system. Standard sizing starts at 45x30cm (18’’x12’’) & goes up to 2.2 metres long. We can also custom size to help accommodate your needs. Acrylic facemounts can also be upgraded to include frames & float frames too.
