The 2017 FSG QLD State Lead Titles were held at The Rock Indoor Climbing Gym in Browns Plains this year. Stepping it up a notch as second time hosts, The Rock were on a mission to shake the foundation of the QLD Sport Climbing competition circuit! This was the first time all competition information was displayed on a digital platform with results, schedules, forerunning & competitors guide all in the one convenient place on The Rocks website. Not to mention the sponsorship of the routesetting team which was another first this year, seeing the setters paid accordingly for the insane amount of hours the put in the week leading into the comp as well as all weekend! With over 190 competitor registrations,¬†this years state titles was a huge success seeing yet again, masses of climbers from interstate flooding to QLD to get involved. The route setting team kept up their usual antics yet again this year with a newly made hanging section bridging two of the climbing walls but this time it was for the Open A WOMEN’S finals route!

Once again The Rock worked around their small viewing space by providing 3x full size portaledges & 2x bosuns chairs as viewing platforms for each categories finals, as well as a live stream that was broadcast on the outside wall for those that would prefer the comfort of a chair.

Set In Stone Photography was there all weekend covering all aspects of social media for the event. We Facebook lived every finals route for those that couldn’t make it as well as offering some instagram live activity & countless posts to make sure that no matter where you were this weekend, you didn’t miss any of the action.
